O Lord, your love never fails,
and you are always present to redeem your people.
We cry out to you for the sake of those who are near to our hearts
and are in need of your hope today.
For those who cry out from the depths
of sickness, sorrow, or fear;
hear their voice and give a sign of your constant mercy.
Our souls wait for you, O Lord: In your word we put our hope.
For all who struggle with sin and the knowledge of having failed you –
and this includes us –
we call upon your patient mercy to grant us a fresh start.
Our souls wait for you, O Lord: In your word we put our hope.
For those who greet the day with eager anticipation,
celebrating good news or counting on new opportunities;
let the joy of the moment open into the knowledge of your eternal presence.
Our souls wait for you, O Lord: In your word we put our hope.
For all who seek you,
that they might recognize your unfailing love
in the embrace of this church community.
Our souls wait for you, O Lord: In your word we put our hope.
We call out to you, Redeemer of all,
placing our trust in the great name of Jesus Christ,
who prays with us as we join our voices, saying together…
