O God, save your people!
Lift up those who sink down in life,
who are overwhelmed and exhausted.
Listen and answer those who have cried themselves hoarse.
O God, save your people!
Defend those who are surrounded by enemies,
vindicate those who endure false accusations,
forgive those who are captive to the consequences of their own actions.
O God, save your people!
Guide and preserve those who seek to serve you faithfully.
Support those who face opposition from family or friends
because they have committed their way to your righteousness.
Encourage those whose best efforts
are met with scorn and mockery.
O God, save your people!
Answer the prayers of your people
who are hungry, thirsty, or impoverished;
for those who are sick or grieving;
for all whose needs are on our hearts and our lips today…
O God, save your people!
Lord of hosts, save your people.
We pray for healing, courage, and justice,
so that everything that lives in heaven and on earth may join in your praises,
for the love of your name.
We pray in Jesus’ name, saying together:
The Lord’s Prayer
