All: “Follow me and I will make you fish for people.
One: To the tax collector Jesus said:
All: “Follow me.”
One: To the rich man Jesus said:
All: “Go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
One: At the last supper Jesus said:
All: “Follow me”
One: To you and to me and to all of us Jesus says:
All: Follow me!

prayer: O Holy Fire

O Holy Fire,
your love burns bright
with a radiance that beckons us
out of the darkness and despair
and into the light of love.
As we enter your presence
consume us with the fire of your holiness
that only the renewed, refined,
reclaimed, and restored body of Christ
may live on in us.
Amen.

call to worship: in Jesus’ love

Jesus said “As the Father has loved me, so I will love you.”

We will live on in Jesus’ love.

Jesus said, “You will live in my love is you keep my commandments”

We will live on God’s love.

Jesus said, “All this I tell you that my joy may be yours and your joy may be complete”

We will keep this commandment: we will love one another as Jesus has loved us.

Leader: Return to the Lord your God,

People: for God is gracious.

Leader: Confess to the Lord your God,

People: for God is merciful.

Leader: Repent to the Lord your God,

People: for God is slow to anger.

Leader: Praise the Lord your God,

People: for God abounds in steadfast love.

Leader: Worship the Lord your God.

All: Together, let us worship God!
