Would make a great response to the Advent Candle Lighting (one verse per week).

Guide me, O my great Redeemer. We seek your guidance, O God, for there are many choices in our lives and many paths we could take. We need your wisdom. We need to know how best to live in your ways. Hear us cry out for help.
Pilgrim through this barren land. God, you know there are days when it seems like no choice is a good choice, days when nothing we say comes out right, and we wonder how to turn back to you. We are wandering and wondering.
I am weak, but you are mighty. Your strength and power amazes us, O God, and we need to feel your presence when we feel like we have no power. Give us the words to speak. Point us in the right direction.
Hold me with your powerful hand. God, we need to be held in your hand, to hold your hand, and to pushed on with your hand. Give us comfort, support, and a nudge in the right direction.
Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more. Loving God, you feed us with your Word, with our communities of support, and with blessings too many to count. We are so thankful for all the ways you reveal yourself to us. We pray for all of your children who need to be fed physically or spiritually. We know what you provide is more than enough to share, so revive our spirits of generosity until everyone has enough.
As we seek out what is next for our lives, may we always begin by saying, Guide me, O my great Redeemer.

(The words in italics are from The New Century Hymnal #19, Guide Me, O My Great Redeemer.)
Sung to the Tune of “What Child Is This”, this can be used as a doxology during Advent and Christmas. For those worship leaders who prefer to not use Christmas hymns during Advent, maybe this will do as a nice option.
These gifts we joyfully bring to you,
to fill the world with meaning;
our hearts and minds are longing for
the life of which you are dreaming.
This, this our gift we bring,
our lives we share, your praise we sing;
show us your vision, Lord,
for hope, and peace, and caring.
Here is an optional second verse for Communion Sunday:
We gather as one at your table, Lord,
the bread is broken, the wine is poured;
the walls we fashion around us fall,
we’ve dropped our spear and put down our sword;
This, this your gift we share,
you welcome all people from everywhere;
take…eat…remember me,
created…restored…community!

tune: Genevan 42 (comfort, comfort ye my people)
text: Stephen Fearing
Lord, our Shepherd and our comfort, hear us now, your people cry.
Show yourself and shine upon us, save your sheep and loose your light.
Darkness cannot win the day; guide our feet and show the way.
Lord, your light and love is spoken; never more shall we be broken.
We, your vine, have always needed your provision and your care.
You, our God, brought us from Egypt; all was perfect, all was fair.
Why must we return to sin? Why must always we give in?
Come, attend and plant within us light that always shines out from us.
We have long rebuked and wandered; you have brought our sins to light.
We have fought and we have tarnished; you have pushed us from your sight.
Give us chance to live and learn! May no more your anger burn!
Make your face to shine upon us and no more shall darkness hide us.
Lord, our hope and our salvation, hear us now, we pray and plea.
Show yourself and shine upon us. Open us and help us see.
Darkness will not win the day! Light will come and always stay!
God will be our jubilation; evermore our restoration!
