Ordinary Time
Sunday’s Coming: working toward June 10
Here we are: Ordinary Time. Green stretches out before us for months and months….how will you be heading into this season? Starting out by considering what an earthly king looks like? Attempting to heed Paul’s call not to lose heart? Contemplating the divided kingdom and just who ARE Jesus’ family after all? Or perhaps opening the season with thanks and praise?
Or are you on a summer series that takes you away from the lectionary?
Whatever your plans, however formed or unformed, drop in for some conversation. Let the creativity flow!
illumination: planted, nourished, sustained
Inspiring God,
plant us deep within your rich soil…
fill us with your nourishing, refreshing, life-giving water…
and shine your life-sustaining light of love upon us…
so that we may grow and go and be and do.
Amen

Sunday’s coming: working towards May 20th
Drawing straws to see who will replace the empty spot Judas left among the Apostles (Acts 1:15-17,21-26)? Poetically contemplating the contrast between righteousness and wickedness (Psalm 1)? Reflecting upon what it means to embrace life as God intends it by embracing the lifestyle to which Jesus calls us (1 John 5:9-13)? Digging deep into Jesus’ prayer for his disciples, that they would be an inspiration to a world that is dramatically different from the world God intends (John 17:6-19)?
What are you doing this Sunday? Does your celebration of graduates play a part in your community as you worship together? What liturgy has your reflection on this week’s texts inspired? Share your thoughts and your liturgy here!
