O God of wisdom,
you delight in deep truth.
Let these words of scripture teach our hearts,
that we may hear your joy and gladness,
for the sake of Christ, your wisdom for us. Amen.

Merciful God,
you do not call us to you because we are worthy,
but because you yearn for us.
We do not offer you these gifts in order to earn your love,
but to celebrate the love you give us.

O God, deliver your people;
O Lord, act quickly to save.
We pray for all who are in danger; Lord, help us oppose the forces of death in the world.
We pray for all who have fallen victim to accidents and circumstances beyond their control.
Prevent anyone from taking advantage of others,
and restore fairness in the world.
We seek you on behalf of all those we have lifted up today…
Let these, and all who are on our hearts,
rejoice and be glad in you, for you are great!
We come before you humbly;
hear our prayer, O Lord, our helper and savior.

God Most High,
