Based on Psalm 31 and Daniel 6
We take refuge in you, Lord.
Please listen closely to our prayers,
and save the people we pray for.
We take refuge in you, Lord.
Please listen closely to our prayers,
and save the people we pray for.
Today we heard the story of Daniel’s courage.
We pray for people who face bullying or danger
because of their beliefs.
Encourage people who stand up for what is right.
Protect people who are vulnerable, weak, or afraid.
Keep everyone safe,
so they can rejoice and celebrate in your faithful love.Have mercy on people who are depressed, grieving, or sick.
Give strength to those who are suffering.
Give friends to those who are lonely or excluded.
Give healing to those who are sick or injured.
Especially remember the people we have mentioned by name today, and everyone we remember silently.
Our future is in your hands.

Shine your face on us.
Keep us safe like a mother bird shelters her chicks.
Show us your faithful love,
and hear all our prayers.
We wait for you, O Lord.
We are strong and take courage,
as we pray in Jesus’ name, saying:
The Lord’s Prayer
