CTW: Join Together

Having each going our own way, tonight we’ve come, heeding God’s call to watch and listen and believe.
We join together because Christ has born our guilt and made us righteous.

From the Cross we hear those last words, “It is completed.”
We will not recoil or look away, for what happens tonight is good.

The One who promises us life and hope and joy and forgiveness and grace is reliable.
So, we draw near with genuine hearts thankful for the gift.

CTW: Night of Remembering

Tonight is a night of remembering, a festival of memory.
We have gathered together near and far throughout the generations.

Tonight, we recall a tradition we’ve received that we pass on again and again and again:
We eat the bread, drink the cup, proclaiming Christ’s death until he comes.

Tonight, we will hear of Christ’s humble way of love and service that stoops ever lower.
We join God in glorifying Jesus, the one who came to serve.
